INVITATION

Dear colleagues,

I am delighted to inform you that Shanghai Theatre Academy will host The 7^th Shanghai International Experimental Theatre Festival during October 18 – 25, 2013.

Shanghai International Experimental Theatre Festival was founded by Shanghai Theatre Academy in 1998, and it has developed into a regular biennial event after six rounds. Productions from dozens of countries and regions have attended the festival. The performances, as well as the research and discussion on performance art, has increased the prosperity of experimental theatre, and promoted the culture exchange between China and the other countries around the world.

The main activities at The 7^th Shanghai International Experimental Theatre Festival include performances, workshops and a seminar with the theme on exchange of Chinese and foreign theatre.

If you feel interested in this festival, please submit an application to us before March 15, 2013. Once your performance is selected, we will send you a formal invitation letter to attend the festival. Each participating groups will present 2 to 3 performances during the week-long festival. The organizer will cover the local transportation and accommodation of the group (up to 10 persons, 1 single room for team leader and double rooms for the others) for one week during their stay in Shanghai, and provide the performance venue and technical support. The other expenses shall be borne by the participating group.
